Nichole’s yoga journey began in 2006, as an effort to bring more movement and focus into her life. It wasn’t until after her transition to motherhood in 2011 that lead her to a steady practice to reconnect back to her body, and to inspire self growth and stillness. With a passion for intentional setting and energy work, Nichole discovered that yoga moves beyond just physical strength, but also of the mind/body/spirit connection, and cultivating more love in all that you do. A practice of tuning into your awareness, learning to quiet the mind, and opening yourself up to infinite possibility.
Nichole’s formal yoga training includes:
- 200 hours of yoga teacher training with Ryan Leier and One Yoga in 2019
- Prenatal intensive (10 hour) with Inner Peace Yoga
- Yin Yoga Teacher Training (50 hour) with Bernie Clark in 2020
- Meditation Teacher intensive (15 hour) with Carolyn Budgell
- Spa Yoga Teacher Training (20 hour): a blend of hatha, restorative, therapeutics with Carolyn Budgell in 2021
She has a love for the dualistic practices of vinyasa and yin yoga, and is passionate about connecting her practice to the 8-limbed path found within the yoga sutras. You will commonly experience the connection between yoga philosophy and mindfulness weaved into her classes.

Thursday Yin Yoga
Join us every Thursday evening for an hour of yin yoga from the comfort of your own home via Zoom. Classes take place from 7 to 8pm CST, and recordings are available should you be unable to join live.
Classes are geared towards all levels. You can expect an opening discussion/theme, followed by meditation/breathwork, and yin postures with modifications to meet your body where it is.
Yin classes are a beautiful way to nurture your physical body, to bring deep relaxation. The yin practice involves holding yoga asana (postures) for a longer length of time, it serves to stress and release the connective tissues, while improving joint health. As we slow the body, we slow down the breath, and slow down the mind.

Join Zen Gems Saturday, December 17th from 6-8:30pm for a special Gather + Flow. This monthly event is offered with the intention of women connecting -- to themselves, + with others. December’s theme will center around the winter solstice, honouring this energetically powerful time of the longest + darkest night of the year that encourages deeper rest, reflection + restoration. Let’s come together for an evening of connection + rituals to celebrate our inner light, release what’s fallen away, and nourish new intentions.

During these soul nourishing evenings, we will come together for a series of calming practices + discussions that draw wisdom from nervous system healing, breathwork + meditation, + yoga philosophy. We will have the opportunity to reflect, hold space + engage in meaningful sharing in a supportive, non-judgmental environment; followed by an embodiment yoga practice; therapeutic movements + longer yin holds to encourage you to move mindfully, listen in, let go, + breathe deep into all that you feel, so that you may feel more calm, empowered + connected as you re-enter the flow of your life.

Dress comfortably - warm socks and layers are welcome if you like to be cozy!
Bring with you a yoga mat (please respond back to this e-mail if you do not have one as I have a few extras), a bolster or pillow (we will be seated on the floor!), blanket/towel and any other props you wish to utilize for our physical yoga practice. Props are not required but are a great way to invite in more comfort for your practice.
Bring water, and a mug as tea will be provided.
A journal and a pen.
Any sacred objects (crystals, jewelry, cards, anything with meaning to you) you wish to display in the altar space + infuse with the energy of the evening.

Gemstone jewelry is a wonderful way to gift with both intention and meaning! During this workshop, we will discuss crystal energy healing and the metaphysical properties of the gems for this months workshop (focused around protection, balance, reflection, + nurturing — essentials during the darker days this season brings). You will have the opportunity to utilize a dozen different gemstones with unique healing properties, spacers and charms to create your bracelets. Gemstone meaning tags and gift bags are included for easy gifting.

In Person Classes
Join us Sunday's from 10 to 11:15am for a 75 minute all levels flow class at Motion Fitness at Brighton. Free with your Motion Fitness membership, or drop in at the front desk! Flow classes are geared to all levels (beginners, advanced yogis alike). This class takes foundational inspiration from vinyasa yoga with repetitive + therapeutic movements for mobility, strengthening asanas + some longer held stretches to release lingering tension. Throughout the class, there will be a strong emphasis on connecting with the breath (merging pranayama as our focus point making this a beautiful “moving meditation”) — the ultimate gateway to regulate + soothe our nervous system.
